Winter Delivery & Resin Care
Cold temperatures during shipping can make epoxy resin thicker and may cause Part A to crystallize, giving it a cloudy, grainy or partially solid appearance. Crystallization can often be reversed with controlled heating.
1. Bring your package indoors
Bring your order inside as soon as it arrives. Keep the containers tightly closed and allow cold or frozen products to return naturally to room temperature before inspecting them.
2. Remove crystals with a hot-water bath
If crystals are present in Part A, place the tightly closed container upright in hot, non-boiling water, following your product’s recommended heating temperature.
Keep the cap above the waterline and prevent water from entering the container. Maintain the bath until all crystals have dissolved. The time required depends on the container size and the extent of crystallization.
Dry the container thoroughly before opening it. Do not use resin while crystals remain.
3. Return to room temperature before mixing
After the bath, allow Part A to cool to the working temperature specified on your product label. Make sure Part B is also at the recommended temperature before measuring and mixing.
Mixing warm resin can shorten your working time.
Need help?
If crystals remain, or Part B appears unusual, contact our team before use. Do not apply the Part A heating procedure to Part B without product-specific instructions.
